Agitprop: This morning Agitprop has on the phone Whitney Penderlighter, the Bloggrrl for the Barack Obama campaign, and of course we've gotta ask the question on everyone's mind this Monday morning:
Could Barack Obama do more for the "web2.0″ than Mike Arrington ever did?
Whitney: We know this is a question Agit, and given the insistence of Senator Obama on making this a people's campaign, we turned that hard question into an online contest: the guy who answers that one right gets a chance to move out of his mother's basement someday.
Agitprop: Kewl! You Rawk!
Now about the "create your own blog group at my site" feature:
Just wondering, Who's gonna pay to continue the bandwidth if the Senator loses in New Hampshire?
Whitney: This is a really big concern. We know that Obama supporters will want to continue to hook up until at least 2012, or we get outta Iraq, whichever comes first. We hope to siphon off some funds from Richard Branson. If that doesn't work, the Senator has assured me personally that he will pose nude for Oprah Magazine.
Agitprop: Tell us about the real possibility of network meltdown: Web20.rumor.monger listserv guys were google chatting all day Sunday that Firefox users couldn't watch your announcement video for like, fifteen whole seconds.
Whitney: Yes, but we were not made aware of that until 20 seconds later. We feel we've satisfied the tech contingency, particularly with our Mountain Dew giveaway.
Agitprop: And by the way, you're being blackmailed: do you wish to respond to the blogger who blogged: "If Obama wants me on his website, then he has to have this blog on his website."?
Whitney: I've heard that particular blogger is a beta tester for IE8.0.
Agitprop: Well, then.
Whitney: Part of our mission this weekend has been to reach out, and particularly to put the whole Eschaton blogroll controversy in its proper perspective.
Agitprop: Yeah, we at Agitprop are still waiting for Duncan to get back to us on that.
Whitney: Exactly.
